Camp Savuti epitomises the Botswana safari experience. From the abundant game viewing to the authentic, tented accommodation, this is the traditional way to spend time in one of Africa’s most superb wildlife regions. 5 authentic canvas tents are subtly hidden among the bush willows, raised on wooden stilts and offering ensuite facilities and outdoor showers. Wooden verandas offer views of the Savuti Channel.

Overview:

Name: Camp Savuti

Guests at Camp Savuti will be accommodated in private and peaceful Meru-style tents. There are 5 individual tents built on elevated wooden platforms offering some height for overlooking the river.

Each unit has a private wooden veranda, complete with chairs for two; carpeted floors inside; twin or king-size beds with headboards and pure cotton linen; shelving space; a safe; and an ensuite bathroom with an outdoor, open-air shower. The bathroom is separated from the main bedroom interior by a dividing canvas curtain that can be fastened back or pulled closed for privacy. There is a flush toilet and indoor bath.

The accommodation is wonderfully comfortable and cosy for cooler weather, yet it can be open and airy for those ultra-hot months from September to December. Guests can choose to rest and relax in the privacy of their rooms while watching game gathering at the channel.

Testimonials:

“Incredible”

This camp is truly amazing. Savuti is located in the heart of Chobe National Park. The campsites are pretty big with the water source and cooking station and fire place. Watch out you may get an unexpected visitor in a form of an elephant, lion or buffalo. We really enjoyed our stay at the camp and the Savuti area. Great game viewing.

“Experience of a lifetime”

We recently spent 4 days at Belmond game lodge in Savute in Botswana. Our room was lovely and every need catered for and our guide “muffin” was very attentive and went out of his way to make our experience a wonderful one. We saw lion, giraffe, elephant, buffalo, wildebeest, hyena with Cubs which was magical, zebra, lotsof birds. An experience we will always remember”
