Sossusvlei Desert Lodge

NamibRand Nature Reserve, NAMIBIA

One of the most pristine areas on Earth, the Namib Desert is a world of vast spaces, endless horizons, dramatic landscapes and jagged mountain heights. The largest private nature reserve in Southern Africa, the NamibRand Nature Reserve consists of 180 000 hectares (445 000 acres) of this unspoiled desert wilderness. Part of the biggest dune field south of the Sahara, an area known as the Namib Sand Sea, the spectacular dunes at Sossusvlei, arrayed in magnificent hues of orange, buttermilk, pumpkin and sienna, tower over a vast, dry pan.

“Best Lodge in Namibia”

We stayed at this andbeyond lodge for three nights. It was a great experience. The bungalow is very beautiful furnished and you also have you own terrace to relax. It is VERY quiet and you can watch zebras and other wildlife from your terrace (do not forget to bring binoculars). Food and service was even for andbeyond extraordinary. We would definetely come back!

“and beyond says it all!”

This was like arriving in paradise after the interesting drive across the NamibRand landscapes which are mars like but continually changing. A beautifully designed lodge with every comfort on offer and the most staggering views. This is an essential visit for anyone visiting this country – the service was exceptional and they continually surprised us with all sorts of extra touches. Probably the best place I have ever stayed in.
